Duvetyne (Commando Cloth) A medium weight fabric with a smooth, soft nap. A very economical substitue for Velour. Used for borders, legs, mid-stage draw curtains and a black-out material. Chroma Key Fabrics Used for backdrops when shooting television scenes that require special effects and/or a "keyed" background. Scenery Muslin Scenery Muslim Medium weight, unbleached muslin is used for covering scenery, flats, and constructing cycs and backdrops. The natural color is cream white. Non-flameproofed muslin will shrink up to 4% to 9% when flameproofed. Wide widths may be slit length-wise to make a narrower, economical covering. Sold by the linear yard. Blue, bleached white, 60% reflectance grey and very wide muslin fabrics are available on a quotation basis. Scrim Used for fantasy and transitional effects. Scrim appears transparent when lit from the front, but becomes opaque when lit from the back. Sharkstooth scrim (we don't know why it's called that) is also used as a seamless cyc fabric that serves to diffuse and reflect stage or set lighting. Sold by the linear yard. Rear & Front Projection Screen A range of inherently flame-retardant rear-projection screen materials, sold by the linear yard. 55" and 86" Screens are seamless. 110" screens are 2x55" welded together.
